These articles are the ones I got all of my research from, I found it to be easy to find the ones that were reliable based on previous knowledge of computer research. I think the most insightful article is, Associations Between Depression in Parents and Parenting, Child Health, and Child Psychological Functioning. This article talks a lot about different reasoning for children developing depression.
